Want to walk dogs? Cuddle cats? Help the shelter? We’d love to have you join our dedicated team of volunteers!
Here’s how to get involved:
Register as a volunteer with the City of Pasadena. Click here for forms.
Attend one of two monthly volunteer orientation sessions at the shelter.
Put in five hours of general service at the shelter.
Participate in five hours of supervised / mentored work with animals.
Bring your class, scouting group, or club to our new Pet Adoption Center to learn about companion animals, public health, and making a difference in the community.
Our classroom holds up to 30 students, and we can tailor our content to suit ages 4 to 18.
Standard event hours are 9:00AM to 3:00PM weekdays; however, we can accommodate requests for select evenings and Saturdays.
To reserve a time or learn more, please email us at email@example.com or text/call Carey O'Connor at 281-536-4643.
Pasadena Animal Shelter is fortunate to work with many private, not-for-profit rescue groups that help assess, care for, and place our shelter pets in desirable homes. Some of these rescues are breed-specific, while others are need-specific. Whatever the model, we're so grateful for these rescues and their continuing, lifesaving support.
For a list of the rescues with which we currently work, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
